The Stockton Chapter was organized and received its Charter from the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America on Oct. 18, 1954, and they have been creating harmony ever since. During its early years, the Chapter met at the Port of Stockton, hence the Portsmen moniker for its “Performing Chorus”. The Society, and affiliates the world over, preserves a form of music that is native to America.The Stockton Portsmen Chorus will bring a special and unique Holiday experience with a Barbershop style to familiar seasonal favorites.
