| 2014 Knock Out Barriers with The Champ is a two-day fundraising event benefiting Teaming Individuals Emphasizing Sports and Future Stars 2000. It begins with Casino Night Sept. 26 at Chez Shari from 6-8 with a reception and dinner. Then from 8-11 there will be a live DJ and no-host bar as participants get to try their luck at the roulette, poker, craps and blackjack tables. Former three-time world boxing champion Tony “The Tiger” Lopez will appear as a guest speaker. A day later, Manteca Tennis Center is hosting the Up/Down Team Tennis Tournament which will feature wheelchair and able-bodied athletes.
